Andy Sturmer was a member of the band Jellyfish from 1990-1994, and also Beatnik Beatch prior (1987-88).
Jellyfish released two albums to much critical acclaim Bellybutton (1990), and Spilt Milk (1992)). The Andy Sturmer/Roger Manning songwriting duo that was the core of the group was even heralded as the second-coming of Lennon/McCartney. However, the band failed to catch fire commercially, and intergroup friction led to Jellyfish's dissolution in early 1994. A promised solo album after the break-up has yet to materialize, but Sturmer has appeared on numerous projects as a background vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.
