Then Echeverri became pregnant. When the artist found out, she retreated to Bogota for a year. It was there that she began writing songs about pregnancy, her baby, love and other "feminist issues," she said. Within months, she had enough material to record her own album. And with the help of Aterciopelados member Héctor Buitrago, she headed to the studios to record it.
