Ali Azmat was the lead vocalist of the band Junoon. Currently, he's pursuing a solo career, and has released an album, Social Circus. Recently The Alanis Morissette Music Company has also signed up Ali Azmat.

After Junoon's albums ISHQ (2001), and Deewar (2003), Rian O’Connell left the band, and eventually, both Salman Ahmad and Ali decided they wanted to go their separate ways. But before all this, there was their album Azadi, their fourth studio album, which contained the hit "Sayonee". Following their tremendous success with Azadi, in 1999 Junoon released their fifth studio album Parvaaz, which was based mostly on the poetry of Baba Bulleh Shah. Parvaaz was recorded and mixed at Abbey Road Studios in London, and was described by critics as Junoon’s finest work.
