Adam Schlesinger (born October 31, 1967) is a Jewish-American composer, musician, and producer. He has perfomed on bass guitar in the indie pop band Ivy and the power pop band Fountains of Wayne. In 1997 he also earned an Academy Award nomination for best original song for the title song to That Thing You Do!.
