Absurd

Absurd is one of the best-known NSBM-bands of Germany. It was founded in Sondershausen by Hendrik Möbus, Sebastian Schauseil and Andreas Kirchner in 1992. Their lyrics concern nationalistic, pagan, and anti-christian themes.

The band mainly got well-known because its members murdered the 15-years old Sandro Beyer in 1993 by strangling him because he'd mocked them the day before. On 29 April in Sondershausen Hendrik Möbius and two accomplices enticed Beyer to a meeting and strangled him there with a wire. Allegedly they were inspirated by the film "The Evil Dead", but this hasn't been verified. Afterwards they buried him in the ground.
