Tasmin Archer is an English soul/pop/rock singer. Her trademark is a powerful, soulful voice which expresses a wide range of emotions. Her first record, Great Expectations, spawned one smash hit, Sleeping Satellite, a philosophical number about the moon landings. The following singles and albums weren't as successful as this one. She and her musician partner, J. Hughes are currently working on a new album.

In 1993, she won a Brit award for the British Breakthrough act.
