Carlo Resoort (who founded the musical group 4 Strings), born March 1st 1973, is a Dutch DJ, remixer and producer. Carlo Resoort originally began working with Jan De Vos when they found an interest in dance music. The two spent all of their free time in the studio, and later Jan went on to become "DJ 4 Strings" while Carlo headed 4 Strings. Carlo had his first hit with "Turn It Around" by Alena, and later came out with "Take Me Away (Into the Night)" his second hit. They have had a good amount of success having been on many top 100 charts in European countries and also Canada.

4 Strings currently consists of Carlo Resoort (who mostly makes the music) and Jan Loechel (who mostly works on production and arrangement, and performs some songs). In 2004, there were some rumors of singer Vanessa van Hemert leaving the group, due to some new 4 Strings songs that were released that did not feature van Hemert. On the official 4 Strings website, Resoort debunked the rumors, although in 2005 van Hemert did leave the group.
