The band, formed in December 1994 in Anchorage, Alaska, starting as a nu-metal band and changing to a metalcore band on their 2nd album, consists of four members, Brock Lindow (vocals), Steve Holt (guitar), Mick Whitney (bass) and Thomas Noonan (drums). After the release of their freshman album in 2002, Bitterness the Star, was released, they began to tour the US with bands including Candiria, God Forbid, Chimaira, Diecast, and Hotwire.
