Incapacitants (インキャパシタンツ) is the name of a Japanese noise music band formed in Osaka Japan, started in 1981 as Toshiji Mikawa's solo project. Mikawa, a bank employee, later moved to Tokyo in which a second permanent member, Fumio Kosakai, a government office worker, joined forming Incapacitants as a duo. Because of their very professional line of work, Incapacitants have rarely been able to tour abroad from Japan. Incapacitants are counted as among the most well known of the Japanoise bands formed in the '80s, along with such names as Boredoms, C.C.C.C., Solmania, The Gerogerigegege, Hijokaidan, Merzbow & Masonna.
