Mumiy Troll (Му́мий Тро́лль) is a Russian rock group, which has invented a new rock style named "Rockapops" - a mix of Rock and Pop styles. The name of the band is a wordplay with Moomintrolls of Tove Jansson, it is usually understood by Russians as something like troll mummy, though the word mumiy doesn't actually exist in Russian language.

The band gained immense popularity in 1997 with the release of their first (official) CD Morskaya (Морская, Russian for Marine), however it was formed way back in the early 1980s and enjoyed considerable renown locally in the port city of Vladivostok. The first album was closely followed by their second, equally successful CD Ikra (Икра, Russian for Roe).
